Maybank Vietnam is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead our finance function and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring robust governance, supporting business growth, and leading finance transformation initiatives.
As the Financial Controller, you will work closely with the CEO and Country CFO to provide strategic financial insights, strengthen financial controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end financial reporting, financial control, and month-end/year-end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/VAS, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, and performance management
- Manage tax, treasury, liquidity, cash flow, and balance sheet optimization
- Establish and strengthen internal controls, risk management frameworks, and finance policies
- Partner with business leaders to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and growth opportunities
- Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, tax authorities, and financial institutions
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team while driving automation and process improvements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 10-15 years of experience within banking, investment banking, or financial services environments
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing finance teams
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA is highly preferred
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, accounting standards, financial management, and governance
- Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and business partnering capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive organizational transformation.
