We are currently looking for a Financial Advisory Consultant. The job descriptions and requirements are detailed below:

Key Responsibilities

Financial Due Diligence

  • Support buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements across M&A transactions, investments, and restructurings.
  • Collect, organise, and rigorously assess target company financial data (management accounts, audited financials, data room materials) to evaluate data quality and completeness.
  • Identify and quantify key financial risks, including quality of earnings adjustments, normalised EBITDA, working capital trends, net debt, and off-balance-sheet exposures.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial analysis covering revenue drivers, cost structures, margin trends, and cash flow sustainability.
  • Formulate well-reasoned findings, red flags, and deal recommendations in clear written reports and client presentations.

Business Valuation

  • Conduct business valuations using appropriate methodologies, including Market/ Transaction multiple, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), etc.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models and valuation models; stress-test assumptions and perform scenario/sensitivity analysis.
  • Assess and benchmark valuation multiples against industry peers and market data for transaction pricing and fairness opinion purposes.
  • Support purchase price allocation (PPA) and impairment testing assignments in accordance with IFRS and VAS standards.

Financial Modelling & Forecasting

  • Develop integrated three-statement financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for deal evaluation, business planning, and investment analysis.
  • Prepare and review financial forecasts, business plans, and budget models; challenge assumptions based on industry benchmarks and management discussions.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, concise summaries and visualisations for senior management and client decision-making.

Transaction Advisory & Client Delivery

  • Actively participate in cross-functional deal teams, coordinating with legal, tax advisory teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Prepare high-quality client deliverables (reports, databook, memos, etc.) in accordance with Forvis Mazars Group global guidelines and templates.
  • Engage directly with clients and counterparties to gather information, communicate findings, and support decision-making and negotiation processes.
  • Contribute to cross-border engagements by collaborating with other APAC Financial Advisory teams, ensuring consistent quality and methodology.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, or CPA Australia are highly preferred.

Experience

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in transaction advisory services, or external audit at a Big 4 firm or equivalent. Candidates with experience in corporate finance, private equity, investment banking, or M&A advisory roles will also be considered.
  • Exposure to M&A deal processes, including data room review, management Q&A sessions, and report writing is a strong advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of VAS and IFRS.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required and experience with PowerPoint, Word for client presentation preparation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial databases and deal platforms (e.g., Capital IQ, VDR platforms) is a plus.
  • Ability to critically analyse financial statements, identify anomalies, and draw well-supported conclusions.
