Position Title: Financial Accountant

Role Objectives: This role will aim to provide efficient and effective assistance to general accounting practices, including but not limited to inventories control, commercial & operations partnership, month-end and year-end reporting, reconciliations, preparing audits, and tax.

Direct Reports: N/A

Reporting to: General Ledger Team Lead

Work Hours: Standard office hours:
8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, plus reasonable additional hours.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory

  • Perform monthly inventory reconciliation across the accounting and warehouse systems for US, Canada and Mexico, ensuring inventory balances, stock movements, goods receipt status, and transaction records are accurate and properly reconciled.
  • Perform inventory variance analysis and investigation, including item ledger reviews, warehouse transaction tracing, root-cause identification, and preparation of supporting documentation and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Review and process inventory adjustments, write-offs, cost corrections, and related GL entries within the accounting system. Ensure goods received are properly processed and review inventory reclassifications performed by US Office.

    2. Commission
  • Perform commission accounting activities for US and Canada, including the preparation, review, and recording of monthly commission accruals and related accounting entries.
  • Prepare and process Accounts Payable commission entries and payment transactions in the accounting system, ensuring accurate vendor records, invoice processing, payment matching, and audit trail documentation.

    3. Tax & Compliance
  • Perform monthly tax calculations and reconciliations, including validation of sales records against the Trial Balance and supporting reports to ensure completeness and accuracy of tax-related data.
  • Coordinate with external tax consultants and submit monthly tax reports.
  • Support internal and external audit activities.

    4. General Accounting & Finance Support
  • Provide support to US Finance Team in daily and month-end activities, including Debit Notes and invoice issuance, review and other financial control procedures.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks, support special project & system enhancement as assigned.
  • Maintain and update SOPs to ensure processes are properly documented.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field;
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience, with strong accounting knowledge and preferably exposure to inventory accounting;
  • Strong English communication skills are a must; Cantonese or Mandarin is preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced in working with accounting/ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP
  • Good knowledge of inventory accounting, month-end closing and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with tax compliance and audit processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively leverage AI tools to improve work efficiency and productivity.
