Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead both the strategic and operational finance functions of the company. This role will be responsible for financial planning, corporate finance initiatives, fundraising support, financial governance, and ensuring a strong financial foundation to support the company's growth.
- The ideal candidate combines strong financial modelling and strategic thinking with hands-on experience managing accounting, tax, compliance, and reporting requirements within Vietnam. Experience supporting startups, high-growth businesses, or cross-border corporate structures will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Finance & Strategic Planning
- Lead the company's budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
- Translate business strategies and growth initiatives into robust financial plans and projections.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making, scenario planning, and capital allocation.
- Support fundraising activities, including equity, debt, and hybrid financing initiatives.
- Evaluate financing alternatives and optimize capital structure and capital efficiency.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business expansion, investment decisions, and long-term growth objectives.
- Conduct scenario analysis and financial planning to assess business risks and opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze unit economics and key financial performance metrics across the business.
- Partner with management to communicate financial performance and strategic recommendations to non-finance stakeholders.
Financial Operations & Governance
- Oversee accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage tax compliance and statutory reporting requirements in accordance with Vietnam regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all statutory reports and regulatory filings required by Vietnamese authorities.
- Coordinate external audits and regulatory filings.
- Ensure alignment and compliance between the Vietnam operating entity and any holding company or cross-border corporate structures.
- Strengthen financial processes, internal controls, and governance frameworks to support scalable growth.
- Oversee and maintain financial records and reporting systems using MISA Accounting Software or equivalent accounting platforms.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, banks, and relevant government authorities to ensure ongoing compliance and efficient financial operations.
- Monitor changes in accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements and implement necessary updates to internal processes and controls.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, Finance Management, or related finance leadership roles.
- Proven experience in financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning.
- Strong understanding of Vietnam tax, accounting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience managing accounting, statutory reporting, audits, and tax compliance within Vietnam.
- Practical experience using MISA Accounting Software.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnam statutory reporting obligations, including tax filings, financial statements, labor-related reporting, social insurance compliance, and other regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with Vietnam Accounting Standards (VAS) and local compliance frameworks.
- Ability to translate business strategies into financial plans and communicate financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering capabilities.
- Experience supporting fundraising activities, financing transactions, or capital planning initiatives is preferred.
- Experience working within startups, growth-stage companies, or cross-border corporate structures is highly preferred.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Proficiency to use Xero is highly preferred
