About the Opportunity
On behalf of our client, a multinational company operating across Southeast Asia, we are looking for a Finance Lead to oversee finance operations and ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong financial governance.
In this role, you will act as the key finance partner for the Vietnam business while collaborating closely with regional stakeholders. Besides supporting the local General Manager, you will also work with the regional finance team and contribute to group reporting activities, providing financial insights to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and company policies.
- Ensure accurate general ledger reconciliation, financial consolidation, and account classification.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and variance analysis.
- Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and cost control.
- Deliver financial reports and management insights for both local and regional stakeholders.
Financial Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese accounting regulations, tax requirements, and statutory reporting.
- Support regional reporting requirements and collaborate with the Group Finance team on IFRS/group reporting where applicable.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare supporting financial documentation.
- Maintain strong internal controls and continuously improve finance processes and governance.
- Monitor changes in accounting and tax regulations and implement necessary updates.
Business Partnership & Operations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support business planning and operational decisions.
- Review payroll, fixed asset management, and other finance operations.
- Develop and enhance finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support both Vietnam and regional finance initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA Vietnam, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably within multinational or multi-entity organizations.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations (VAT, CIT, PIT), and statutory reporting.
- Exposure to IFRS, regional finance, or group reporting is highly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems.
- Professional English communication skills for working with regional stakeholders.
