Field Application Engineer

We design powerful products with simplicity and are committed to transforming industrial automation worldwide. We're now expanding our APAC capabilities and are hiring a Field Application Engineer to support our growing customer base.

What You'll Do

  • Install, commission, and support UnitX machine vision inspection systems at customer sites.
  • Commission deep learning inspection products, including data labeling and application-level secondary development of post-processing algorithms.
  • Assemble, test, and validate hardware systems in the UnitX laboratory.
  • Travel for short-term (24 months) and long-term deployments across APAC based on project needs.
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting, customer training, and system optimization.

Who You Are

  • Proficient with common office tools such as Excel and Word.
  • Strong communicator with excellent practical, hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working on live production floors.
  • Open to overtime and extended travel based on project timelines.
  • Prior experience debugging machine-vision or deep-learning systems is highly preferred.
  • Experience with automated equipment assembly, integration, or debugging is also a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with industrial vision libraries or software such as Halcon, OpenCV, Cognex VisionPro, or Keyence.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus).
  • Background in automation systems, robotics, or PLC programming.
  • Strong English reading/writing/speaking skills.
