Job Description

Fashion Design Intern EASTEAM — Women's Fashion • Internship, Full-Time, Remote • Vietnam

ROLE SNAPSHOT

  • Type: Internship, full-time (6 months)
  • Location: Remote — Vietnam
  • Hours: Full-time, with reliable daily overlap with the team's working hours
  • Compensation: $500 USD per month, depending on portfolio and experience
  • Works with: The EASTEAM design and production team day-to-day

ABOUT THE ROLE

EASTEAM is a women's fashion brand, and we move fast. Our collections go from a first sketch to a finished, factory-ready garment in a fraction of the time a traditional house would take — which means the person doing the designing sees their work become a real product, quickly.

We're hiring a Fashion Design Intern to work across the whole arc of that process: concept and sketching on one end, tech packs and production-ready specs on the other. You won't be fetching coffee or building someone else's mood boards. You'll be handed real pieces, real deadlines, and real feedback.

This is a full six months, full-time. It's built for someone who wants to come out the other side with produced garments in their portfolio and a working knowledge of how a small brand actually gets clothes made.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop concepts: mood boards, silhouette exploration, color and print direction for upcoming drops.
  • Produce flat sketches and technical drawings — front, back, and detail views.
  • Build tech packs: specs, measurements, construction notes, trim and material callouts, and everything a factory needs to cut the first sample.
  • Work through fit and sample rounds — review samples against spec, note corrections, and update the tech pack.
  • Source and organize fabric, trim, and reference material.
  • Keep design files, sketches, and asset folders organized to our naming and folder conventions.
  • Support the wider team on seasonal line planning and range boards.

The scope grows with you. As you learn how we work, you'll own more of a collection end to end.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves

  • 2-5 years of formal training or equivalent self-taught skill in fashion design — you understand garment construction, not just illustration.
  • Strong flat sketching and technical drawing ability.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator (or equivalent) for flats and tech packs.
  • Familiarity with tech packs and how a spec translates to a real garment on a factory floor.
  • Clear, responsive communication in English, written and spoken.
  • Comfortable working fully remotely, full-time, without constant supervision.
  • Able to take direction and revision notes without taking them personally.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Womenswear experience specifically — dresses, skirts, separates.
  • Prior contact with manufacturers, sample rooms, or a factory in any capacity.
  • Photoshop, CLO 3D, or Browzwear.
  • A portfolio that shows a piece taken from sketch through to a finished garment.
  • An eye for what's moving in the market, not just what's beautiful on a board.

REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS

  • Full-time commitment for the full six months.
  • Reliable internet and your own computer with the software you need to work.
  • Dependable, responsive communication throughout the working day.
  • Organised handling of design files and assets following our naming and folder conventions.
  • Follow-through: deadlines are met, revisions are turned around, and work is closed out without reminders.
