The Technology and Quality organization is tasked with delivering customer focused quality, reliable solutions, and infrastructure for Cisco products. - Drive improvements in the accuracy of fault duplication, defect detection, and root cause isolation for field returns.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting techniques for customer-reported issues.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering to communicate findings and drive resolution of hardware and software field issues.
- Coordinate Failure Analysis review meetings with Cisco teams, EMS partners, and suppliers.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product Leads, Technical Leads, Customer Support, PQE/CEs) to replicate customer issues and accelerate root cause identification.
- Ensure EMS partners deliver timely and accurate results in duplicating issues and isolating root causes.
- Proactively engage with customer-facing teams to reduce RMA rates, improve failure analysis efficiency, and obtain better field debug data.
- Communicate key technical issues to stakeholders, identify risks early, and drive resolution with relevant teams.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions across design, manufacturing, process, and supplier-related issues.
- Organize, track, and close design, component, and manufacturing issues associated with products.
- Maintain and evolve product debug documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive innovation and improvements in test strategies, diagnostic methodologies, and processes to enhance failure analysis coverage and effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's in electrical or computer engineering with 7+ years of related experience.
- Experience with High-Speed Network Interfaces along with previous hands-on board design expertise and familiarity with board design tools such as Cadence Allegro or similar tools.
- Hardware design, schematics generation, and design validation for service provide routing products.
- Experience with sophisticated high speed board design and board bring-up.
- Knowledge of Cisco products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
- Experience with high-speed SERDES (>=25G) system design, signal integrity issues, and power distribution techniques
- Ability to collaborate with eCAD, FPGA, Power, Mechanical, Signal integrity, and Manufacturing teams.
- Familiarity with innovative CPUs such as Intel or AMD , analog and networking components such as PCIe switches, PHY, retimers, voltage regulators.
- Experience in unit test methodologies and agile working environment along with sophisticated CPU design and bring-up is a plus.
