Job Description

JOB IN SUMMARY

The Factory Manager is responsible for the overall operational performance of the processing facility, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and compliance standards are consistently met. This role leads crossfunctional coordination across Production, Quality, Maintenance, R&D, and Supply Chain to deliver customeraligned output while optimizing cost, service, and operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Workplace Safety

  • Ensuring ofi's safety policies are implemented and workforce is kept safe all the time. Conduct workplace inspection.
  • Adherence to factory compliance for fire safety, environmental discharge etc. Engaging with local govt bodies as or when required.
  • Facilitating the audits for social compliance along with HR.

2) Plant production, quality and shipments

  • Assist and facilitate team to design incoming RM, PM input/output specification so to align with customer's expectations. On time response to business development teams on queries from customers.
  • Production plan and execution as per shipment schedule. Prioritizing resources for production and shipment fulfillment.
  • Tracking downtimes of various processes to streamline efficient use of maintenance budgets. Design and tracking of a robust preventive maintenance plan.
  • Facilitation of New packing material development by assisting on trials and review of the trial result outcomes.
  • Supporting Accounting checks on stocks at various warehouses of facility.

3) Product development

  • Integrating the Rnd processes with technical capabilities of facility. Allergen management program and introduction of new ingredients - risk assessment.
  • Designing the processes and tweaking the processes keeping in mind the overall expectation of customer and striking the balance between cost and service to customers.
  • Facilitating all customer visits, audits and interactions on shopfloor. Explaining facility capabilities to customers.

4) External engagements

  • Visit exhibitions and conferences as per time availability to explore new opportunities of improvement in operations.
  • Keep a track of industry trends such as recalls, new investments, growing concerns on food safety etc.

5) Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested by management

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 812 years of experience in food manufacturing operations, preferably in nuts, ingredients, or B2B food processing.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, GMP, FSSC, allergen management).
  • Proven experience in production management, preventive maintenance, and quality systems.
  • Familiarity with export market standards and customer audit requirements.
  • Strong leadership and ability to collaborate crossfunctionally.
  • Operational excellence and problemsolving mindset.
