Job description
Maintain, develop, and expand customer relationships in coordination with the Sales department.
Support the Sales team in preparing quotations and providing service and schedule consultancy for freehand cargo.
Contact customers to advise on vessel schedules and shipment details in order to arrange bookings.
Coordinate with internal departments to promptly and effectively handle customer requests related to booking, container pickup and drop-off, and transportation procedures.
Monitor, notify, and regularly update customers and agents on cargo transportation status.
Closely follow up on major shipments and promptly resolve any issues arising throughout the transportation process.
Check door-to-door rates with agents for sales inquiries.
Manage customer and agent data; maintain records and develop long-term relationships with customers and agents.
Prepare daily and weekly work reports, monthly shipment volume reports, and conduct monthly KPI self-evaluations.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Job requirements
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in economics, import-export, logistics, etc.
Experience: At least 1 year in a similar position.
Preference: Experience in handling US and Canada trade lanes is an advantage.
Good communication skills in English.
Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving skill.
Proficient in using office software.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Dynamic, meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to work under high pressure.
