JOB PURPOSE

Own the day-to-day support of the VVIP terminal's Operational Technology (OT) and security-related systems, encompassing physical security and building-related technology. Acting as a practical, field-oriented engineer, the role bridges the gap between vendors, field devices, communications rooms, and operational teams to ensure a secure and stable VVIP environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

I. OT & Security Systems Support

  1. Provide direct support for CCTV, access control, intrusion/security systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), and lightweight Baggage Handling Systems (BHS)
  2. Support technical rooms, field devices, controllers, and all network-connected OT assets

II. Maintenance & Vendor Coordination

  1. Coordinate routine maintenance, system testing, troubleshooting, and vendor field service visits
  2. Ensure that system drawings, device lists, IP plans, and maintenance records are meticulously kept up to date.

III. Incident Response & Event Readiness

  1. Support incident response, conduct event readiness checks, and participate in emergency drills.
  2. Work closely with facilities, security, and the IT Ops Lead to maintain uninterrupted service continuity, providing after-hours support during critical events.

IV. Communication Infrastructure & Network awareness:

  1. Manage segregated network environments, ensuring a deep understanding of OT systems operating within logically and physically isolated domains utilizing VLAN segmentation
  2. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of equipment room topology and rack-level organization for OT assets. Provide on-site troubleshooting for rack-level infrastructure across all technical rooms and communication closets
  3. Conduct network-level OT diagnostics, including VLAN assignment verification, PoE+ power budget assessments for cameras and ACS readers, fiber link testing, and fundamental switch port troubleshooting for OT endpoints
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in redundancy and high-availability architectures for OT systems. Facilitate failover validation and redundancy protocols during scheduled maintenance windows

V. OT security awareness

  1. Maintain awareness of IEC 62443 OT security standard and its practical implications for field devices, controllers, and network segmentation
  2. Report OT security anomalies — unauthorized physical access to equipment rooms, unexpected controller behavior, unauthorized device connections — to the SOC Specialist and IT Operations Manager
  3. Support OT security hardening activities at the field level: firmware patching coordination, physical port security, controller access credential management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in OT, Extra Low Voltage (ELV), physical security, BMS, or smart-building systems.
  • Experience in airports, hotels, hospitals, commercial buildings, or secure sites is highly valuable.
  • Certifications & Licenses: Certifications in ELV systems, CCTV/Access Control platforms, or BMS operations preferred.
