Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Event Coordinator role based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The Event Coordinator will support the planning and execution of AHN's events, including conferences, heritage weeks, community programs, and partner activations. Responsibilities include coordinating event logistics (venues, vendors, AV, catering, and schedules), managing timelines, and ensuring all event elements align with AHN's brand and objectives. The role will involve working closely with internal teams and external partners, assisting with attendee communication, registration, and on-site support. The Event Coordinator will also help track event performance, gather feedback, and contribute ideas to improve future events and community experiences.
Qualifications
  • Event Planning and Event Management skills, including coordinating logistics, timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships.
  • Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, to work effectively with internal teams, partners, and event participants.
  • Customer Service skills to deliver a positive experience for attendees, sponsors, and stakeholders before, during, and after events.
  • Sales-related skills to support sponsorship outreach, partnership development, and event-related revenue opportunities.
  • Prior experience in coordinating events, conferences, or community programs, preferably in media, tech, or community-driven organizations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort working on-site at events, including evenings or weekends as needed, and collaborating with diverse, global teams.
  • Proficiency with basic office and event tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, event registration platforms); familiarity with social media is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fluency in English; Vietnamese language skills are an advantage.
