ETL Specialist

• Salary: $1200 - $1600

Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure reliable, scalable, and governed data systems. Contribute to data architecture, apply data quality and monitoring standards, and collaborate closely with analysts and product teams to enable data-driven decision-making.

• Design scalable and governed data schemas; manage data lineage, metadata, and apply access control standards.
• Deploy and optimize ETL jobs on cloud platforms (AWS, Databricks) or containers.
• Build integration pipelines via API/GraphQL/gRPC and manage credentials and secrets securely.
• Write clean, reusable, version-controlled code; optimize SQL/Spark/dbt for performance and cost.
• Implement validation, anomaly detection, and alerting; troubleshoot pipeline issues and ensure reliability.
• Work closely with Analysts, Product, and Infra teams to align data models and ensure analytics readiness.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automation for data workloads (DataOps experience is a plus).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related technical fields.
• 2 - 4 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with ETL orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
• Proven ability to debug, optimize, and collaborate in cross-functional environments.
• Familiarity with data governance, access control, and metadata management practices.

• Languages & Frameworks: Python (PySpark), SQL, dbt.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Databricks, or equivalent.
• Orchestration & CI/CD: Airflow, Git.
• Monitoring: Validation checks, anomaly detection, alerting systems (CloudWatch, Datadog).
• Data Modeling: Schema design, lineage tracking, and scalability optimization.
• Security & Governance: Role-based access control, Secret Manager usage.
• Collaboration: Strong understanding of data flows between engineering and analytics teams.
