About the Role

The EHS Staff will master legal regulations related to safety, Health, Environment, Chemicals, and Energy, and ensure compliance through training, guidance, and implementing improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Master legal regulations regarding Safety, Health, Environment, Chemicals, and Energy.
  • Periodically update new regulations, evaluate their impacts, and provide training and guidance on implementing improvement activities to ensure legal compliance.
  • Prepare and submit periodic and ad-hoc records and reports on Safety, Health, Environment, and Chemicals to the competent state authorities.
  • Implement EHS targets and indicators, as well as action and improvement programs to achieve set goals.
  • Develop rules, procedures, and measures to ensure Safety, Health, Environment, Chemicals, and Energy.
  • Participate in developing and implementing risk assessments, plans, risk prevention measures, and response plans for environmental and chemical incidents.
  • Inspect, monitor, and resolve outstanding issues related to Safety, Health, Environment, Chemicals, and Energy to ensure compliance with the law and corporate EHS regulations at the factories.
  • Measure, inspect, and evaluate hazardous and harmful factors affecting employees working conditions (such as temperature, dust, noise, toxic gases, etc.), and synthesize solutions for improvement to ensure proper conditions for workers.
  • Organize investigations and report on occupational accidents, traffic accidents, and safety incidents. Compile statistics on outstanding issues and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive solutions until completion.
  • Organize and implement safety inspections, risk assessments, and machinery/equipment safety evaluations.
  • Conduct safety evaluations prior to performing non-routine work, and inspect/evaluate safety impacts when launching new projects.
  • Update and monitor records and inspection deadlines, and organize annual periodic inspections for equipment with strict safety requirements.
  • Organize and deploy annual EHS programs and activities (such as monthly EHS meetings, 5S/HHK activities, KYT, stop-cards, etc.).
  • Monitor, inspect, and supervise the distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to employees. Check inventory, synthesize data, and plan PPE orders to ensure adequate distribution to all workers.
  • Implement periodic environmental and occupational environment monitoring programs. Evaluate the results and propose improvement solutions if they fail to meet legal requirements or company targets.
  • Synthesize and control waste data; evaluate, process payments, classify, and retain monthly records. Coordinate with relevant departments to propose appropriate solutions to minimize, reuse, and recycle waste.
  • Inspect and evaluate waste classification, waste storage, chemical storage, wastewater treatment stations, and exhaust gas systems, proposing improvements if they do not meet legal requirements.
  • Participate in developing and organizing training courses on Safety, Environment, and Chemicals for employees.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • University graduate majoring in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Management.
  • Professional knowledge of ISO 14000-2015 and ISO 45001 systems.
  • Proficient in using computers, office equipment, and software (Google Sheets, Docs, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Proficient in English for communication, reading comprehension, and preparing related reports for the region.
  • At least 1-3 years of working experience in Safety, Environment, and Chemicals at manufacturing plants.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team (proactively executing assigned tasks with the factory, from planning to implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and measurement).
  • Agile, enthusiastic, responsible, and fully compliant with internal company regulations and the law.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data for reporting.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a multicultural work environment.
  • Familiarity with advanced EHS software tools.
