Working as a core member of our team in Vietnam, you will support the delivery of environmental and social due diligence, impact assessment, and environmental compliance projects across a range of renewable energy projects in Vietnam and Southeast Asia (SEA).
What will you be doing
- Support and contribute to Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD), environmental audits, site assessments, compliance reviews, and related studies.
- Assess environmental risks, impacts, permits, compliance records, monitoring data, management systems, and alignment with applicable Vietnamese regulations and international standards.
- Prepare and review technical inputs, consultancy reports, gap assessments, corrective action plans, and environmental management recommendations.
- Participate in site visits, stakeholder meetings, project discussions, conferences, and professional community activities as required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Provide input to development and construction stage projects with delivery of assigned tasks.
- Develop domain knowledge and areas of expertise relevant to the business line.
- Undertake analytical work, maintain spreadsheets and databases, including contributions to research and development projects.
- Support the development of junior team members on specific targeted tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals led by others and contribute to business development activities.
- Ensure deliverables comply with QHSE policies and regulations.
What are we looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Ecology, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting, or environmental management.
- Familiarity with international environmental and social standards, including: IFC Performance Standards, World Bank Environmental Health and Safety guidelines, ADB Environmental and Social Safeguards and Equator Principles.
- Experience conducting site assessments and reviewing environmental documentation.
- Practical experience in one or more of the following:
- Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA).
- Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD).
- Environmental compliance assessment and auditing.
- Environmental risk assessment.
- Proficient in both Vietnamese and English.
