You will collaborate & drive innovative solutions, provide strategic direction and thought leadership on new and emerging technologies. With a focus on building solutions, maximising use of emerging technologies that will enable NAB to transform our current technology & delivery to our customers ensuring new technologies get traction quickly.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Capacity:
- The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Manager will lead a specialist team working across Cloud practises, Operations Management and Development of production systems and deployment to production and non-production environments in multi-cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- The SRE Manager will be focused on running better production systems by defining engineering approaches that deliver best practice.
- Work with incident management to streamline & improve incident triage process and implement SRE best practises to Global Operation Center.
- Work with service delivery to understand what's blocking improvement and stability to resolve problem records swiftly.
- Define Cloud & SRE principles for the teams, improve hiring requirements and set up multi-sprint rotations with focus on resilience of the platform.
- Guide Infrastructure capacity & planning management using system metrics to ensure scalability of services to develop dashboards.
- Implement monitoring tools to ensure the reliability of production environments.
People Management & Delivery:
- As a Manager Engineer, lead an agile delivery scrum team to deliver on engineering standards, sprint backlogs and plans, engineers responsibilities and performance management, code quality, adherence to development guardrails, testing.
- Be the voice of reason between speed and quality;
- As a Manager Engineer & people leader responsible for motivating and engaging your teammates, working together to build a high performing team.
- Responsible for facilitating interviewing new team members including on boarding.
- Ensuring that all performance and career-based activities, conversations and artefacts are prepared together with the individuals, such as; Development Plan and Performance Plan.
- Responsible for facilitating interviewing new team members including on boarding.
Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time.
YOUR SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years working experience in Software Development; 5+ years experience in leading SRE or Cloud teams; 2+ years in a leadership or engineering manager position.
- Deep knowledge of Azure, AWS, and GCP services.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, and compliance in regulated environments.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks (e.g., Harness, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Hands-on experience with SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and incident management.
- Familiarity with observability tools: Mimir, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.
- Experience integrating infrastructure workflows with ServiceNow (e.g., change management, incident tracking, automation).
- Understanding of ITIL practices and operational excellence.
- Strong grasp of Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
