Engineering Manager

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vietnam for an Engineering Manager at Backbase. The Engineering Manager will oversee the delivery of high-quality software solutions while leading and mentoring a team of engineers. Daily responsibilities include managing agile development processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring engineering excellence with a strong focus on software quality, scalability, and performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning engineering goals with business priorities while fostering innovation and a collaborative culture within the team.

• Proficiency in software engineering practices, full-stack development, and modern programming languages.
• Experience with agile methodologies, project management, and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Strong leadership skills, including team mentoring, performance management, and the ability to drive technical excellence.
• Deep understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and scalable software solutions.
• Skills in cloud technologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with a focus on goal-setting and collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Previous experience in financial services, fintech, or similar industries is preferred but not required.
