About the Job:
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the development of our B2B products (focused on our B2B business segment and ELSA Speak for Schools initiatives) and our Core Backend Platform. You will manage a team of full-stack engineers, driving high-quality technical execution across both backend and frontend systems while collaborating closely with product and design teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
- Own the architecture and technical delivery of B2B products including Admin Dashboards, School Delivery systems, and Speech Analyzer.
- Contribute to technical design decisions across the team's projects and ensure alignment with product goals.
- Mentor and guide the engineering team, enabling them to grow and perform at their best.
Infrastructure and Operations:
- Maintain the health of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure supporting B2B products.
- Define and track service availability and performance goals for your team's systems.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical and operational challenges.
Team Collaboration and Growth:
- Enable your team to work efficiently and independently by fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Encourage innovation and experimentation in product development while maintaining high-quality standards.
Code Quality and Best Practices:
- Ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability across backend and frontend systems.
- Advocate for automation, test-driven development, and other practices to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a deep understanding of architectural patterns and cloud-based system design.
Customer-Focused Delivery:
- Translate customer needs, feedback, and business requirements into technical solutions for B2B products.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to prioritize features and ensure successful delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong experience in Python and Vue.js.
- Proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
- Data-driven mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, microservices architecture, and modern SDLC practices.
- Advantage: AWS experience, Flutter app development, TDD/BDD practices.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for productivity and workflows.
