General Responsibilities
- Complete tasks assigned by the Chief Engineer/Assistant Chief Engineer.
- Report to duty on time, in full uniform, and according to grooming standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment, ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Maintain systems to handle daily guest requests efficiently.
- Ensure sufficient spare parts inventory at all times.
- Keep up-to-date knowledge of technical systems: water treatment, drainage, sewage, pools, kitchen equipment, fire alarms, and communication systems.
- Assist in preparing duty rosters, vacation schedules, and public holiday plans.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs.
- Coordinate with managers and colleagues; communicate organizational updates from senior management.
- Track and report work progress using appropriate monitoring tools.
- Support and report on energy conservation programs, ensuring updated energy consumption reports.
- Assist in maintaining safety and emergency procedures.
- Support efficient administration within the engineering department.
- Train, coach, discipline, and develop team members.
