Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1-Manufacturing process, development & improvement
- Monitor and analyze plating and wet chemical process parameters daily to identify trends and abnormalities.
- Analyze chemical concentration, tank condition, and equipment status to ensure processes operate within defined limits and recommend adjustments when needed.
- Identify and report out-of-spec or abnormal conditions related to process, chemical, or equipment, and support initial root cause investigation.
- Support engineers in process development and improvement activities, including experiments, qualification runs, and basic data analysis.
- Review and update process documents (WI, parameters, specifications) and recommend improvements under guidance.
- Support qualification of new materials or suppliers, including sample preparation, data analysis, and evaluation of results.
- Analyze daily production processes to identify improvement opportunities and propose recommendations to engineers or supervisors.
2-Manufacturing Process Support and Quality control
- Verify that new parts follow First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements before mass production and ensure processes, including chemical conditions, are under control.
- Follow ISO and internal quality procedures, and actively support audit activities by preparing and reviewing records for process and chemical control.
- Collect and analyze SPC data, monitor control limits, and identify abnormal trends, including variations in chemical conditions
- Analyze SPC results and process conditions to recommend corrective actions for process and chemical-related deviations under guidance.
- Analyze process performance (defect, yield, SPC trends) and identify data shifts or abnormalities, including chemical-related impacts, and report findings with recommendations to engineers.
- Support MRB/CAR activities and production issue handling by preparing data, performing basic analysis, and supporting root cause investigation with relevant process and chemical data.
3-Machine, Equipment maintenance & set up
- Perform chemical preparation and analyze solution test results (e.g., titration trends, concentration stability) to support process control.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance, including tanks, chemical systems, and related process equipment, to identify deviations and improvement opportunities.
- Verify and monitor calibration status of equipment and support internal calibration activities, identifying potential issues or improvement needs.
- Review and analyze process parameter data from systems (e.g., DMS) to ensure data accuracy and identify trends related to process and chemical conditions.
- Support preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting activities by identifying equipment abnormalities, performing basic analysis, and recommending improvement actions under guidance.
4-Report and documentation
- Update and analyze log sheets, SPC charts, and routine reports, including process and chemical data, to identify trends and support improvement activities.
- Maintain and organize technical documents (SOP/WI, SCD, MSDS) and ensure document accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure accurate and reliable recording of process and chemical-related data, and review data for potential abnormalities or inconsistencies.
- Support updating and improving procedures and documents based on process changes and analysis results under guidance.
5-Other
- Follow and promote PPE and safety requirements, especially for chemical handling and wet process operations.
- Support and participate in daily safety checks, identify unsafe conditions (including chemical and environmental issues), and recommend corrective actions.
- Actively participate in 5S and continuous improvement (CI) activities, and suggest improvement ideas for production areas.
- Support special projects and assigned tasks, and contribute to problem-solving and improvement activities under guidance.
Education & Experience
- Intermediate Graduate or College Graduate. Major in Chemical, Materials, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in plating or wet chemical processes.
- Experience in process monitoring, SPC, and basic troubleshooting
- Familiar with chemical handling and basic lab practices
- Basic computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, email), SPC tools is a plus
