The Firestop BOQ Support Engineer plays a key role in supporting project teams through accurate quantity take-offs, technical documentation, and compliance alignment for firestop systems.
What You'll Do
1 BOQ Preparation & Support
- Assist in preparing firestop BOQs based on project drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Perform quantity take-offs using architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all material calculations for firestop applications.

- Support engineers in reviewing project design documents for firestop requirements.
- Coordinate and organize technical documentation, submittals, datasheets, and certifications.
- Assist in preparing technical proposals, product selections, and system recommendations in accordance with project needs.
- Coordination & Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Sales, and Project Teams to clarify firestop needs and align BOQ outputs with project specifications.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to obtain missing information and resolve discrepancies in drawings or material requirements.
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure firestop BOQ items comply with international and local fire protection standards (e.g., UL, ASTM, EN).
- Maintain updated knowledge of approved firestop systems, application methods, and design guidelines.
- Reporting & Data Management
- Maintain a structured database of firestop BOQ templates, project files, and calculation records.
- Provide periodic reports on project BOQ status and workflow progress.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Fire Protection, or related fields preferred).
1–2 years of experience in technical engineering support, BOQ preparation, or construction project coordination (preferred).
Experience with firestop systems, construction materials, or MEP-related designs is an advantage.
