Job Description

Position: Engineer, Operations Excellence (OPEX - MXHY)

Location: Hung Yen - Thang Long II IP, Hanoi (Daily bus from Hanoi/ Bac Ninh/ Hai Duong)

Molex Vietnam has been operating its first factory at Thang Long Industrial Park I since 2007. Currently, Molex is investing in a NEW FACTORY located at Thang Long Industrial Park II, Hung Yen province, with a total investment of approximately 145 million USD, covering an area of 100,000 m² and divided into 3 phases. This factory will produce high-tech products, such as high-speed cables, connectors and optical devices.

Role Overview

As an Operations Excellence Engineer, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. Your mission is to implement Lean and Six Sigma strategies, optimize processes, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. This position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business and operational results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy Operations Excellence initiatives: Support and implement OE strategies, monitor progress, and report results to ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Apply Lean & Six Sigma principles: Lead assigned projects, coach team members, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through training and mentoring.
  • Drive problem-solving efforts: Identify barriers, resolve issues, and escalate when necessary to ensure successful project execution.
  • Track and report performance: Maintain accurate project status updates using established tracking systems and participate in management reviews.
  • Mentor Green Belts: Provide guidance and share expertise to ensure successful completion of improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance: Uphold standards in 5S, Kaizen, EHS, RBA, social responsibility, and asset protection.
  • Support quality systems: Contribute to TQM, Six Sigma, ISO, and EH&S initiatives by following company policies and procedures.

Qualifications


Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline.

Skills & Competencies:


  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive change.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills.

Preferred:


  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and Six Sigma methodology (certification required).
  • Proficiency in SAP, Minitab, and MS Office.

Experience:


  • Preferred: 2+ years in a technical or business role with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven experience leading teams and driving process improvements.
