Position: Engineer, Machine Design

Since 2007, Molex Vietnam has operated its first factory in Thang Long I IP. We are now expanding with a new high tech facility in Thang Long II IP, Hung Yen, backed by a $145 million investment and spanning 100,000 m². This site will manufacture advanced products including high-speed connectors, cables, and optical devices.
Job Purpose
Design, develop, and improve automation machines, equipment, and jigs to support new product launches and mass production assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design automation machines, jigs, tools, and mechanical concepts for production lines.
- Support new line setup, pilot runs, and mass production readiness.
- Coordinate with suppliers for machine build, debugging, and improvement.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues during trial and pre‑MP phases.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and cost.
- Manage machine drawings, documentation, and ECN changes.
- Research and apply new technologies to production equipment.
- Ensure compliance with 6S, Kaizen, EHS, RBA, TQM, ISO, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in automation or machine design within a manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Strong machine and jig design capability (NX, Inventor, or similar).
- Ability to read and create technical drawings.
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Good English communication; Japanese is an advantage.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
