ABOUT THIS ROLE
- Do you believe that company culture isn't just a poster on the wall, but a product to be designed, measured, and iterated
- Are you a strategic thinker who can architect an entire ecosystem of member experiences while steering organizational transformation with data and intentionality
- Can you seamlessly blend high-level culture strategy with impactful event execution and human-centric internal communication
If so, you might just be the member we are looking for. GEEK Up is seeking an Employee Experience Lead to own the culture system and member experience, designing the precise conditions that make GEEK Up a place people genuinely want to be. In this role, you will directly anchor and drive the strategic design while staying close to the ground to shape and execute all three core expertise scopes: Geek Experience, Geek Activities, and Geek Communication.
1. Key Responsibilities
Geek Experience
- Define & Standardize: Define cultural values and artifacts that solidify the GEEK Up identity.
- Goal Setting: Set culture objectives and clear success metrics to move the culture forward intentionally, not by accident.
- Strategy Design: Design the cultural content strategy and overall activity framework.
- Platform Ownership: Manage and optimize the Sparrow platform to foster digital engagement.
- Listen & Measure: Run member listening mechanisms (surveys, feedback loops) to measure culture health and track consistent improvement on the transformation scale.
- Touchpoint Design: Design members experience touchpoints throughout the organizational journey.
(Note: This scope owns the system and measurement, while execution is distributed to specialized functions.)
Geek Activities
- Bring Culture to Life: Execute cultural activities and experiences as designed by the Geek Experience framework, ensuring participation is meaningful and voluntary rather than obligatory.
- Gatherings & Rituals: Organize impactful company events, team gatherings, and cross-functional moments that strengthen connection across the organization.
- Workspace Experience: Manage the physical office experience to reflect GEEK Up's culture in daily interactions.
- Handle Complexity: Navigate event scales and cultural significance, from small team gatherings to complex, high-stake, multi-location organization-wide events (e.g., annual gatherings, founding rituals, onboarding ceremonies).
Geek Communication
- Content Execution: Execute and publish cultural content aligned with the overarching cultural strategy.
- Channel Management: Manage internal communication channels to keep the Geek community informed, connected, and inspired without being overwhelmed.
- Employer Brand Voice: Manage the internal employer brand voice, keeping the tone human, consistent, and reflective of who GEEK Up actually is.
- Tone Calibration: Navigate message sensitivity and channel complexity, carefully calibrating the tone for routine updates as well as sensitive organizational news across segmented audiences.
2. Requirements
And here are a few captivating qualities that we are eagerly seeking in you, which will make you stand out from the rest:
- At least 4–5 years of experience in Employee Experience, Corporate Culture, or Internal Communications.
- Proven capability to collaborate closely with the Leadership team to architect an entire ecosystem of member experiences and drive cultural development.
- A strong Product Mindset applied to HR—the ability to look at culture as an iterative product that requires user research, measurement maturity, and constant evolution.
- Proven capability in handling Change Depth, moving comfortably between routine culture refinement and complex, multi-dimensional culture transformations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in designing and reading culture health metrics and tracking system data.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholders management skills, capable of tone calibration for sensitive organizational news.
- Experience in tech companies, fast-paced product houses, or creative agencies is highly preferred; experience with digital cultural platforms (like Sparrow) is a plus.
3. Why You'll Love Being a Geek
- Buffet L&D: We design the paths and curate the options; you choose what to learn and at what pace. Growth is never assigned—it's chosen.
- Culture of Trust & Realness: Work in an environment where trust is the baseline and culture is designed to feel real, human, and entirely un-performative.
- Transparency: Our competency frameworks and compensation logic are transparent, so you always know where you stand and how to move forward.
- Impactful Work: We don't just organize activities; we architect an environment. You aren't here to fill a calendar, but to cultivate a vibrant culture where every interaction adds value to the Geek journey.
