Overview: The Energy Management and Drivability Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the excellence of our products in overall vehicle efficiency and driving performance by contributing to range, weight reduction, aerodynamics and drivability of EV car. This position is central to achieving outstanding range, weight optimization, aerodynamic performance, and seamless drivability across our vehicle lineup. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to develop innovative solutions that align with industry benchmarks while maximizing efficiency, performance, and user satisfaction.
In this key position, the Energy Management and Drivability Manager will be responsible for leading the development of strategies and solutions to optimize all parameters affecting vehicle range and drivability, ensuring superior product performance, quality, and customer satisfaction
Scope of work:
- Lead and strategies to optimize vehicle range, including aero performance, weight reduction, rolling resistance, and energy management. Drive the optimization of vehicle aero, efficiency through CFD analysis and/or wind tunnel.
- Collaborate with multi-functional engineering teams to define, execute, and validate range and drivability targets.
- Organize and lead technical reviews with engineering teams to assess and refine strategies impacting vehicle efficiency and drivability.
- Support cross-functional decision-making on energy management strategies to meet vehicle program targets.
- Report critical issues and propose solutions to senior management as needed.
- Drive testing and validation procedures to ensure product performance meets global standards.
- Work closely with product development and manufacturing teams to integrate effective energy optimization solutions into vehicle design
- Lead the development of drivability strategies to support seamless and responsive vehicle handling and control. Review Attribute and test standards and improve based on customer experience and performance.
- Able to train and mentor young members in the team to develop technical skill sets.
- Extensive knowledge in vehicle energy management, aero development, weight optimization, and drivability.
Requirements
Skill / Experience:- Demonstrated experience in leading vehicle energy management and drivability projects.
- Proven track record in optimizing vehicle parameters to improve range and driving performance.
- Expertise in vehicle testing and validation methodsboth virtual and physical development phases.
- Strong project management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written (English).
Other requirements:- Leadership ability in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements in vehicle efficiency and drivability.
- Strong supplier management and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies.
