VinFast is looking for a highly skilled and motivated
Embedded Software Management Senior/Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the EE Software, Function Release (FRS) process, ensuring seamless integration and successful deployment of new functions and features in our products. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that all functional releases meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Drive innovation and define the plan for the Electric & Electrical part of EBUS products, aligning with the component/supplier for feature delivery.
- Identify issue and plan delivery plan for each product.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, testing, and aftersales, to ensure the successful delivery of products.
- Foster a collaborative environment to drive alignment and achieve shared objectives.
Strategic Partnerships
- Identify and evaluate key strategic technology partners across hardware and software domains to support EE program objectives.
- Create partnership proposals and manage relationships through to the handover stage for procurement and legal execution.
Product Tracking & Insights: Monitor product performance and usage through data analytics, providing actionable insights to optimize product offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
Product Requirements & Monetization: Establish high-level product requirements and feature bundling strategies to maximize monetization opportunities
Prepare plan to release function
- Create new FRS(Function Release Step) in Jira and Assign tickets to PIC (People in charge)
- Follow up System baseline and Issue content to be complete on time
- Prepare FRS content & follow up for approval
- Review overall FRS content & info
- Create ticket for ECU which having new SW then Cascade FRS content to each ECU & assign to Component Owner
Deliery FRS package
- Update/follow up FRS content
- Re-align with System, Issue baseline after C/O feedback & update FRS content (revision) - if need
- Tracking SW/HW delivery on time and fully with release note, test report.
- Monitoring & follow up if SW package is not fully delivered.
FRS testing: Follow up SW testing with testing team and monitor the testing result
FRS Relase
- Follow up with PIC to get the FRS release approval
- Connect with aftersale to manage new SW flashing on the field
General: Communicate and work with multiple stakeholders to boost up process
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Software Development
- Experienced with defect management and working with cross-functional teams in a firmware environment
- Experience with software development lifecycle and methodologies, such as Agile
- Experience with software issue and configuration management tools, such as Jira, GIT, IBM rational, etc.
- Willingness and authority to drive problems to a solution
- Experience with project management tools
- Experience in working in complex organizations
- Must have the ability to operate under intense time pressure.
- Ability to build a strong relationship with internal customers, influencing and persuading where appropriate and resolving any conflicts
- Ability to explain the lifecycle processes and articulate knowledge of Software issue Management to a wide audience
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
