Job Description

About PT Lab: PT Lab is an innovation lab pushing the boundaries of robotics, embodied AI, and hardware solutions to create value for Vietnam and the world. We're building a brilliant, agile team to develop cutting-edge projects - from smart physiotherapy devices to high-fidelity teleoperation systems and next-gen delivery drones. Our work is hands-on, fast-paced, and driven by a mission to turn bold ideas into reality. If you thrive in an environment where creativity, ownership, and technical excellence are paramount, PT Lab is the place for you

The Role: Embedded Electronics Engineer

An Embedded Electronics Engineer at PT Lab will own the embedded systems, sensors, and hardware that bring our robots to life. You'll design, prototype, and optimize PCBs, firmware, and sensor arrays for projects like delivery drones, teleoperation devices, and smart physiotherapy systems. This role is for engineers who live for the challenge of integrating hardware and software, debugging in real time, and pushing the limits of what embedded systems can do.

You Will:

  • Design and develop custom PCBs for robotics applications, including power management, sensor integration, and motor control.
  • Write and debug firmware to interface mechanical systems with software, ensuring real-time performance and reliability.
  • Prototype rapidly, iterating from breadboard to production-ready hardware in collaboration with mechanical and software teams.
  • Lead the integration of sensors and actuators, from IMUs and force sensors to haptic feedback systems.
  • Work closely with manufacturers (especially in Vietnam and China) to optimize designs for cost, scalability, and performance.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and refine - you'll be hands-on with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and custom test rigs to ensure flawless operation.
  • Take extreme ownership of your designs, from schematic capture to final assembly and field testing.
  • Innovate with advanced technologies, including Edge AI, wireless communication, and low-power embedded systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Fluency in English - our team is international, and collaboration is key.
  • 1+ years of hands on experience driving the design and development of embedded systems (internship and project team experience is applicable).
  • 1+ years experience with PCB design tools and firmware development (Altium, KiCad, Arduino/Raspberry, Nvidia Jetson, etc).
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, soldering, and debugging hardware - you've built circuits, fried a few boards, and learned from every mistake.
  • Strong understanding of analog/digital circuits, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
  • Portfolio or evidence of projects - show us your work, whether it's custom drone controllers, IoT devices, or robotics platforms.
