Instrument and Control Engineer
Location: Ho Chi Minh City

A leading engineering and quality management firm in Vietnam is looking for a dynamic Instrument and Control Engineer to strengthen its technical team. Role Overview

You will be at the centre of project execution-reviewing high-spec designs, verifying installations, coordinating commissioning work, and ensuring every system meets stringent technical standards. Your expertise will support multidisciplinary teams, guide contractors, and help drive successful delivery across diverse projects throughout Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review electrical and control system designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and full compliance.
  • Assess engineering documents for switchgear, control panels, motors, pumps, cable systems, and power distribution equipment.
  • Inspect incoming materials and confirm alignment with NEMA, IEE, NFPA, and local Vietnamese standards.
  • Verify installation quality for cable trays, busways, MSBs, transformers, generators, and related systems.
  • Prepare clear engineering reports, technical observations, and non-conformance documentation.
  • Review commissioning plans, coordinate testing activities, and support smooth project handover.
  • Witness pre-commissioning of major electrical equipment and validate test packages for completeness.

What You Bring

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or related fields).
  • At least five years of experience in electrical or control engineering within industrial or construction projects.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex designs and technical drawings.
  • Solid understanding of international codes (NEMA, IEE, NFPA) and local regulatory requirements.
  • Experience preparing structured technical reports and conducting installation verification.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with precision.
  • Experience in fabrication, electronics manufacturing, or construction management is a plus.
  • Vietnamese citizenship or permanent residency, with readiness to travel.
