About the Role
A leading technical services organisation is seeking an Electrical Instrument & Control Engineer to support major industrial and high-tech projects across Vietnam. You will be responsible for reviewing electrical design documentation, ensuring compliance with international and local standards, and overseeing quality assurance activities during installation, testing, and commissioning. This position offers exposure to large-scale projects and the opportunity to work within an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
Design Review & Engineering Support
* Review electrical designs, plans, specifications, and engineering calculations for systems such as switchgear, electrical panels, MCCs, motors, pumps, fans, elevators, escalators, cables, and cathodic protection systems.
* Assess engineering criteria, directives, and standard drawings for compliance with NEMA, IEE, NFPA, and relevant Vietnamese codes.
* Prepare clear, detailed engineering reports to support project decision-making.

Quality Assurance & Site Inspection
* Inspect incoming materials to verify compliance with client specifications and applicable international standards.
* Verify installation works for cable trays, busways, switchgear, MSBs, distribution panels, transformers, and generators.
* Prepare observation reports and non-conformance reports (NCRs) to document quality issues and recommended corrective actions.

Testing & Commissioning
* Review T&C documentation including ITPs, method statements, QCDs, OMMs, and handover packages.
* Coordinate testing and commissioning activities with contractors and clients.
* Witness pre-commissioning for transformers, switchgear, MCCs, electrical panels, pumps, motors, generators, and associated equipment.

Requirements
* Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or higher qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering or construction management for large industrial projects.
* Strong familiarity with NEMA, IEE, NFPA, and local Vietnamese electrical standards.
* Proven capability in design review, electrical inspection, and testing & commissioning coordination.
* Willingness to travel across Vietnam.
* Vietnamese citizen or Permanent Resident status.
* Experience in electronics, semiconductor, or fab environments is an advantage.
