Bradford Jacobs is assisting an AI drone solutions company, offering cutting-edge aerial solutions across a range of sectors, including construction, agriculture, real estate, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure inspection. Their mission is to harness drone technology to deliver high-quality data, insights, and visual content to enable clients to make informed decisions.

About the role

We are seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to design and develop electrical systems for hardware products. You will work on power systems, circuit design, and hardware bring-up from concept through to production, collaborating closely with embedded and electronics engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and review PCB schematics and layouts for power and signal integrity
  • Develop and test power supply circuits, battery management systems, and charging circuitry
  • Perform design validation testing (DVT) and ensure compliance with safety and EMC standards
  • Interface with electronics and embedded teams on system-level hardware architecture
  • Conduct hardware debugging and root cause analysis on electrical failures
  • Manage relationships with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors (PCBA)
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics, test procedures, and component documentation
  • Support regulatory certification processes (CE, FCC, UKCA, etc.)

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in hardware/electrical product development
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium Designer preferred)
  • Strong understanding of analogue and mixed-signal circuit design
  • Experience with power electronics: DC-DC converters, LDOs, battery management
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analysers, power supplies
  • Solid understanding of EMC design practices and testing methodologies

Nice to have

  • Experience with wireless communication hardware (BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LTE)
  • Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7711/7721)
  • Experience taking products through FCC/CE certification
  • Familiarity with SPICE simulation tools

This is an on-site position paying up to VND48,000,000 per month
