Job Description

We are looking for the Electrical, Electronic Design Engineers to join our Viettel Aviation Center at Viettel Group, who would conduct research and development for the Groups manned aircraft.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Design, integrate, verify, and certify power systems, avionics, and digital connectivity for vehicles that take off and land vertically.
  • Carry out full product life cycle development, from concept, detailed design, ground and flight testing to operational support, while complying with civil and military aviation standards (CS 29, MIL STD 704, DO 160, DO 178, DO 254, ARP4754A).
  • Manage requirements, coordinate suppliers, perform model testing, validate on aircraft, and work with certification authorities.
  • Design electrical, avionic, internal communication network, and external interface architectures for new or upgraded helicopter programs.
  • Develop, simulate, and document hardware and software architectures and IO interfaces for alternating current and direct current power, digital data, and control signals.
  • Design schematics, printed circuit layouts, perform power load, EMC and EMI analyses, and optimise power conversion blocks and DC to AC converters.
  • Plan and conduct laboratory, rig, integration rig, and flight tests, and create model based system engineering scenarios.
  • Prepare for and participate in PDR, CDR, and FAI reviews with certification bodies, customers, and cross functional teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of two to three years of developing avionic or electrical systems for helicopters, UAVs, or fixed wing aircraft.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing specialised electrical and electronic systems, preferably for airborne platforms.
  • Experience designing flight control hardware, preferably Pixhawk or ModalAI based.
  • Experience with embedded systems, sensor systems, and integrated electronic computing platforms.
  • Familiarity with ARP4754A, DO160, and the CS29 certification process.
  • Proficient with schematic design tools Cadence, KiCAD, Altium, and simulation in MATLAB and PLECS.
  • Strong research ability and self learning skills.
  • Systems thinking and cross disciplinary communication.
  • Able to read and analyse technical documentation fluently.
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
  • TOEIC 650 or IELTS 5.0 equivalent.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience in research institutes, corporations, or companies that design and manufacture aircraft.
  • Candidates holding a masters degree in aerospace or electrical electronic control.
  • Candidates with published papers or national or international awards in aerospace.
  • Experience with flight safety software in compliance with DO178 Level A or B.
  • Knowledge of airborne hardware under DO254.
  • Experience with integrated GPS and INS navigation, CANBUS networks, and TSN Ethernet on aircraft.
  • Hands on flight testing and use of flight data recorder data to optimise control algorithms.
