About the Role

We are looking for an Electrical CAD / Revit / BIM Technician to support our client, an established electrical contractor based in Ireland.

The successful candidate will work remotely from Vietnam, supporting the client's project team on live construction projects. The role will involve producing and updating coordinated CAD/Revit drawings based on electrical design specifications, project markups and coordination requirements.

This is not solely an electrical design role. The client is looking for someone with strong AutoCAD/DWG, Revit and BIM coordination experience, who can work with other disciplines including MEP, architecture, structural, design, production and installation teams.

Projects are mainly large-scale residential developments, apartment blocks, commercial units and healthcare projects.

This is an opportunity to gain international experience and work directly with a professional Irish electrical contractor on real construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and detailed coordinated CAD/Revit drawings based on initial electrical design specifications.

• Work with AutoCAD/DWG files, Revit models, project drawings, markups and redlines.

• Support electrical drawing production, including layouts, containment, cable tray, LV/ELV, lighting, power and related project drawings.

• Coordinate drawings with other disciplines, including MEP, architecture, structural and main contractor information.

• Liaise with project MEP specialists to ensure drawings are issued on time and aligned with the main contractor's programme schedule.

• Collaborate with design, production and installation teams to ensure drawings are practical, compliant and meet client requirements.

• Review, revise and maintain existing CAD/Revit drawings throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support the design and development of bespoke coordinated drawing solutions where required.

• Communicate clearly with project managers and contracts managers on drawing progress, deadlines and any issues.

• Provide regular project updates and support the team throughout all project phases.

Skills & Experience

• 3–6 years experience in CAD/Revit, BIM modelling or electrical/MEP drafting.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD / DWG.

• Good experience using Revit, ideally Revit MEP.

• Experience in BIM coordination and working with multidisciplinary project models.

• Electrical drawing experience preferred, including cable tray, containment, LV/ELV, lighting, power or similar.

• Experience coordinating with MEP, architectural and structural drawings.

• Experience working from design specifications, engineer markups, redlines and project drawings.

• Navisworks experience is an advantage.

• ACC / BIM 360 experience is an advantage.

• Experience on large residential, commercial, healthcare or other construction projects is an advantage.

• Exposure to Irish, UK, European or international projects is beneficial.

• Good English communication and ability to work with overseas project teams.

Employment Details

Location: Remote – Vietnam

Working hours: Initially 14:00 – 22:30 Vietnam time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility possible later

Salary: 25,000,000 – 40,000,000 VND/month, depending on experience, English level and technical ability

Employment type: Full-time employment contract in Vietnam

Reports to: Project Manager / Contracts Manager / Design Team in Ireland
