Electrical Automation Engineer

Principal accountabilities/Main tasks:

1. Process Analysis & Concept Creation

➢ Process Evaluation: Assess manual/semi-automated tasks to identify quality risks and high-potential automation

opportunities.

➢ Concept Creation: Propose technical ideas for cycle-time reduction and complex task automation (handling, measuring,

testing, and packaging).

2. Electrical Design

➢ Survey project requirements and develop electrical control architecture.

➢ Sizing, component selection (PLC, Inverters, Servos, Sensors, Safety, Pneumatics), and BOM creation.

➢ Draft electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using EPLAN Electric P8 or AutoCAD Electrical.

3. PLC Programming & Control Systems

➢ Develop PLC control logic based on sequence flowcharts (Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Beckhoff).

➢ Design intuitive HMI/SCADA interfaces.

➢ Program Motion Control (Servo, Stepper, Inverters) and integrate field devices via industrial communications

(PROFINET, Ether CAT, Ethernet/IP, Modbus).

4. Integration, Testing & Handover

➢ Supervise technicians on panel build and machine wiring.

➢ Perform code loading, debugging, cycle-time optimization, and joint testing (Dry/Wet run) with Mechanical Engineers.

➢ Prepare operational manuals, troubleshooting guides, and conduct end-user/maintenance training.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

➢ Bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields.

➢ 5+ years of experience in electrical design and PLC programming for custom automation (SPM, System Integrators, or

Electronics/Semiconductor manufacturing).

➢ Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and Poka-Yoke / Error-Proofing is a strong advantage.

➢ Proficient in EPLAN / AutoCAD Electrical and major PLC platforms (Siemens TIA Portal, Mitsubishi GX Works, Omron

Sysmac Studio).

➢ Strong background in Industrial Ethernet protocols (PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP) and Serial protocols.

➢ Experience with Vision systems (Cognex, Keyence) or Industrial Robots (FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa) is a plus.

➢ Solid logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and technical English reading capability.

➢ Ability to read basic mechanical drawings for seamless cross-functional collaboration.

➢ High sense of responsibility, stress tolerance, and willingness to undertake short-term travel for deployment.
