In this role, you will be instrumental in the Attributes Department, using your extensive skills to process and analyze large volumes of data. You will collaborate with diverse teams, including Engineering, Quality Control and VINFAST suppliers, to create cutting-edge solutions that will drive the future of transportation.
- Define, manage, and deliver durability and corrosion attributes in alignment with customer expectations, regulatory standards, and internal benchmarks
- Lead and mentor a team to identify proactively, analyze, and resolve durability and corrosion-related issues, ensuring robust and persuasive execution of solutions.
- Develop and manage RLDA procedures, drive cycles, and customer usage duty cycles, ensuring accurate correlation between test conditions and real-world vehicle usage.
- Coordinate vehicle-level durability and corrosion testing and validation activities, including CAE modeling, laboratory tests, rig testing, proving ground evaluations, and environmental simulations.
- Lead detailed investigations to root cause and resolve durability and corrosion issues reported from in-market vehicles.
- Facilitate cross-functional reviews, driving effective risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and quick resolutions for durability and corrosion challenges.
- Communicate clearly and consistently on attribute status, highlighting key issues, progress, and resolution plans to senior leadership.
- Continuously improve durability and corrosion attributes through application of structured quality improvement methodologies and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
- Minimum 7 years of experience specializing in Durability, Corrosion, and Structural Integrity within the Automotive industry.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing). Proficiency in Vietnamese is advantageous.
- Extensive experience in vehicle durability, structural integrity, and corrosion resistance testing and validation processes.
- Proven capability in leading and motivating teams to achieve durability and corrosion performance targets, proactively driving issue resolution with strong persuasion and decision-making skills.
- Expertise in Road Load Data Acquisition (RLDA), drive cycle creation, customer usage duty cycle definition, and correlation to real-world vehicle performance.
- Proficiency in rig testing methodologies for durability and corrosion attributes.
- Skilled in advanced methods of durability simulation (CAE), corrosion prevention strategies, and durability/corrosion validation testing.
- Demonstrated capability in cross-functional coordination involving Vehicle Integration, Chassis Engineering, Body Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Validation teams.
- Proficient in structured problem-solving methodologies (DFMEA, DVP, 8D, 5Y, DFSS, FTA, Fish Bone) specifically applied to durability and corrosion-related issues.
- Proven experience in root cause investigations and corrective action development for in-market vehicle issues related to durability and corrosion.
- Program management excellence with the ability to integrate durability and corrosion milestones into vehicle program timelines, collaborating effectively with stakeholders to ensure adherence to durability and corrosion requirements.
- Experience in managing durability-related JIRA IMS & FRS tickets, ensuring efficient tracking, issue resolution, and escalation.
- Excellent leadership, persuasion, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Certification or advanced training in Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt strongly preferred).
- Expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies (DFMEA, DVP, 8D, 5Y, DFSS, FTA, Fish Bone).
