We are seeking an experienced and dedicated DPO professional with a strong legal and project management background to lead our team and deliver high-quality data protection services to clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage DPO and data protection workstreams on both project and retainer bases, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Supervise, allocate work to, and develop team members; review deliverables and provide professional guidance and coaching.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and advise on practical and strategic approaches to data protection compliance.
- Manage projects end-to-end, including scoping, planning, resource allocation, stakeholder coordination, risk tracking, and progress reporting.
- Lead the preparation of service proposals, tender submissions, bidding documents, presentations, and supporting materials for procurement processes.
- Develop, review, and update data protection documentation, including policies, DPIA and OTIA reports, agreements, notices, consent documents, and governance reports.
- Monitor regulatory developments, deliver training and capacity-building programs, and perform other tasks as assigned by Line Manager.
Qualifications & Skill
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (Certified Lawyer is a plus).
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, AIGP, CDPSE, or other relevant privacy certifications are an advantage.
- 3+ years of experience in data protection, privacy, DPO services, Legal, Compliance, Technology Law, or Risk Management.
- Proven experience in leading a team or project workstream, including task allocation, quality review, and team development.
- Strong legal background with excellent legal research, analytical, and drafting skills in both English and Vietnamese; English is mostly used.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Practical experience in preparing proposals, tender documents, and bidding dossiers, with a good understanding of client procurement and bidding processes.
