Director of Software and AI (Humanoid Robot)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Define and execute the company's AI and software strategy in alignment with overall business objectives

Build, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams of Robotics engineers, AI/ML engineers, and software developers

Collaborate with hardware, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless system-level integration

Oversee development of software for perception, decision-making, manipulation and control

Ensure robust data collection, labeling, training, and validation pipelines

Oversee architecture and implementation of real-time control, simulation, and infrastructure tools

Ensure AI and software systems meet safety, privacy, and reliability standards for deployment in home environments

REQUIREMENTS:

. Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or related field.

5+ years of experience in software development and AI/ML, with at least 2 years in leadership roles.

Expertise in software architecture, data infrastructure, pipelines, and simulation environments.

Advanced experience with reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and large behavior models for manipulation (e.g., Visual-Language-Action model)

Advanced experience in algorithms for perception, planning, or control (domain-specific experience preferred).

Hands-on experience with real-time systems, ROS/ROS2, or robotic middleware/high level.

Experience deploying AI/ML systems on edge devices (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Qualcomm RB5, Intel platforms)
