II. OVERVIEW

Position: Director of Software and AI (Humanoid Robot)

Company: VinDynamics

Division - Department: Software and AI Division

Report to: Chief Technology Officer

Location: Hanoi, Vietnam

III. REQUIREMENTS

Relevant education and experience

Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or related field.

5+ years of experience in software development and AI/ML, with at least 2 years in leadership roles

Expertise in software architecture, data infrastructure, pipelines, and simulation environments.

Advanced experience with model-based (i.e., MPC, optimal control, LQR), and learning approaches (i.e., reinforcement learning, imitation learning, large behavior models) for locomotion and manipulation

Experience in perception, planning, and navigation.

Hands-on experience with real-time systems, ROS/ROS2, or robotic middleware/high level.

Experience deploying AI/ML models on edge devices (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Qualcomm RB5, Intel platforms)

Personality/Attitude

Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills

Proactive, dedicated, business-oriented, responsible and willing to learn

Good communication skills, creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail

IV. JOB DESCRIPTION

Define and execute the company's AI and software strategy in alignment with overall business objectives

Build, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams of Robotics engineers, AI/ML engineers, and software developers

Collaborate with hardware, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless system-level integration

Oversee development of software for perception, decision-making, manipulation and control

Ensure robust data collection, labeling, training, and validation pipelines

Oversee architecture and implementation of real-time control, simulation, and infrastructure tools

Ensure AI and software systems meet safety, privacy, and reliability standards for deployment in home environments
