Role Overview
A leading foreign real estate developer is seeking a senior General Affairs Director to lead government relations and strategic stakeholder engagement in Vietnam.
This role is responsible for managing high-level relationships with central and provincial authorities, shaping regulatory engagement strategy, and mitigating policy and licensing risks across major real estate developments. The position operates with a high degree of autonomy and directly supports business-critical approvals and long-term market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with government authorities at central and provincial levels, with a focus on HCMC and Hanoi.
- Lead government engagement, advocacy, and regulatory liaison strategy aligned with business priorities.
- Monitor and assess policy, legislative, and regulatory developments impacting the real estate sector.
- Manage external consultants supporting licensing, approvals, and government coordination.
- Represent the company in official meetings, industry forums, and stakeholder engagements.
- Provide concise updates and risk assessments to senior leadership.
Requirements
- 710+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or regulatory engagement, preferably within real estate or related sectors.
- Established and credible network with government stakeholders in HCMC and Hanoi.
- Strong understanding of Vietnam's regulatory and political environment for real estate and investment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in Vietnamese and English.
