Job Description

This role is to drive the utilization of IT as a key enabler in the company management processes.

1. Set the IT strategy for the firm and overall strategic direction for IT division:

  • Formulate Nam Long's IT strategy within the overall company strategy
  • Make plan, budget, strategic & technological development with short, medium, and long-term strategic plan for the Group
  • Define, operate, and communicate all technology related infrastructure protocols and procedures

2. Managing Operations to ensure the successful execution of IT Division's Plan:

  • Responsible for the successful implementation of IT initiatives and projects
  • Establish working relationships with technology departments from partner firms
  • Interact with partners to ensure compatibility and jointly define technology requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance through technological advancements and recommend solutions to management.
  • Develop strategies and implement technology solutions that align with company objectives.
  • Develop development roadmaps to apply testing, deployment and monitoring of new technology solutions.
  • Maintain existing technology portfolios and evaluate new technology solutions to determine which solutions are most beneficial to the company's long-term goals.
  • Work with business unit/functional department heads to identify technology implementation opportunities within their business units/functional departments.
  • Identify potential issues that may arise during implementation and develop contingency plans to avoid risks and problems for the company.
  • Advise Board of Management on IT related matters
  • Undertake and manage special firm-wide IT projects

3. Innovation strategy & System, Process management & improvement:

  • Track IT trends, innovations, and best practices outside the company and publish relevant information to country and product line groups.
  • Identify and propose new technology required by the company to remain competitive or develop new product lines.
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance through technological advancements and recommend solutions to management.
  • Develop strategies and implement technology solutions that align with company objectives.
  • Maintain existing technology portfolios and evaluate new technology solutions to determine which solutions are most beneficial to the company's long-term goals.
  • Continuously improve and automate business processes.
  • Develop and track a metrics system to understand the cost-effectiveness and value added of IT expenditures.
  • Communicate best IT practices and give advice to build IT knowledge.
  • Develop development roadmaps to apply testing, deployment, and monitoring of new technology solutions.
  • Work with business unit/functional department heads to identify technology implementation opportunities within their business units/functional departments.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science. Master's degree in IT fields is preferred
  • At least 15 years of experience in IT management, and 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Having worked as Project Director/ Manager for ERP, CRM, HRM, Financial management system
  • Have experience in SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, ERP system etc.
  • Strong demonstrable knowledge of networking and internetworking technologies and networking operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Working knowledge of Firewall/Gateway, Email, Collaboration, Database and Anti-Virus/Spam/Spyware solutions & applications.
  • Knowledge of Design Software in Architecture and Engineering.
  • Demonstrable experience in writing and implementing IT processes, procedures and protocols, including auditing for compliance and training users on proper processes.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage IT team members to ensure internal service standards are improved.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional learning and maintaining knowledge of information technology developments.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct system matters that may lead to threats or exposed sensitive data.
  • High profile expertise in the specific industry with a proven track record in change management processes
  • Proficiency in English
  • Local candidate is preferred
