Job Description
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience engaging with both government bodies and multinational corporations (MNCs), and demonstrate strong interpersonal, strategic, and issue management capabilities. This role will be responsible for advancing ADM's business and policy objectives across Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailandwith Vietnam as the primary focusby developing and executing effective government and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive government relations strategy that advances ADM's policy and business priorities, positioning ADM as a trusted partner to key government stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with relevant government agencies, regulators, policymakers, and industry associations.
- Plan and execute stakeholder engagement initiatives that provide insights, data, and resources on ADM's business and the broader agriculture and food sectors.
- Lead advocacy efforts and serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders on policy matters relating to agriculture, trade, energy/biofuels, and human and animal nutrition.
- Collaborate with business units and internal experts to identify emerging policy issues, assess business impacts, develop issue management strategies, and execute advocacy plans.
- Provide timely, proactive updates on regulatory and political developments, translating them into actionable intelligence for business decision-making.
- Coordinate engagement on business-related issues that require government interaction, ensuring alignment with ADM's corporate objectives.
- Represent ADM at external forums, conferences, and meetings to reinforce the company's position as a partner of choice among key stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with trade associations, offering strategic guidance to maximize ADM's participation and influence.
- Track and analyze political, regulatory, and policy trends in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Provide government affairs support across all ADM business segmentsNutrition, Carbohydrate Solutions, and Ag Services & Oilseedsas required.
Your Profile
- 1015 years of relevant experience, including at least 10 years in government relations, public affairs, or related functions within MNCs or PR firms.
- Established stakeholder network in Vietnam's government and trade associations, particularly in areas related to foreign investment, agriculture, and trade; connections in Cambodia and Thailand are an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese; proficiency in Thai is an asset.
- Experience in the agriculture or food industry is preferred.
- Advanced expertise in issue management, advocacy, and association management.
- Proven ability to analyze complex regulatory issues, develop strategic responses, and communicate implications effectively to diverse audiences.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and executive-level engagements.
- High ethical standards, personal integrity, and a collaborative mindset.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
