Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a DFT (Design for Testability) Manager located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The DFT Manager will oversee the development and integration of DFT methodologies in IC (Integrated Circuit) design projects. Responsibilities include leading a team of engineers, coordinating test strategies, reviewing design architectures, implementing DFT solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role also involves collaborating with other engineering teams to meet project goals and optimize quality and test coverage.
Main tasks
- Define and own the DFT flow post scan stitching
- Review, optimize, and balance scan chain architecture
- Lead ATPG execution and test vector generation (stuck-at, transition, and advanced ATPG as required)
- Drive DFT sign-off, coverage closure, and overall quality assurance
- Support silicon bring-up and tester failure debug activities
- Enhance DFT methodologies, automation, and tool flows
- Develop and deliver onboarding and training programs for new graduates
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in Design-for-Test (DFT), including scan insertion, stitching, and ATPG.
- Hands-on expertise with stuck-at, transition, and advanced ATPG fault models
- Strong understanding of scan chain architecture, optimization, and coverage closure
- Experience with industry-standard DFT and ATPG tools
- Ability to support silicon bring-up and tester failure debug
- Proficiency in scripting for flow automation (e.g., Tcl or Python)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers
