DevOps/ SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER (SRE) (LOCATION: HYDERABAD/REMOTE, INDIA)

American Tiger LLC is an investment advisory firm based in Austin, Texas that has also been incubating an initiative called Project R.A.V.I.D. in developing a Digital Health platform to tackle the needs of the global medical community to help advance positive patient outcomes.

The development of the R.A.V.I.D. platform is being undertaken by team members at multiple global locations. Working with our stakeholders in Hyderabad, India we have access to a dynamic team that is looking to expand its Front End/ Mobile app development capabilities

OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced DevOps/ Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement, and manage the infrastructure and deployment pipelines for our cloud-based digital health platform with in built SaaS like solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), a basic understanding of Python Django for backend systems and familiarity with React JS for frontend deployment. You will collaborate with our development (Front End & Back End) along with our product teams to ensure a seamless, scalable, and reliable go-live process for our cloud-based products and service offerings.

Our project involves developing complex systems and algorithmic processes for medical data management and real time analytics, where security, accuracy, and efficiency are critical. We need a DevOps/ Site Reliability Engineer who can take responsibility, ensuring that all the cloud based web application meets the highest standards of performance, responsiveness, and accessibility. You&aposll work in a collaborative environment with vendors and teams located across the globe to include the US, India, the Middle East and S.E. Asia (ASEAN countries), delivering solutions that align with both business goals and technical requirements.

START DATE: IMMEDIATELY

Duration: This opportunity initiates with an approximately TwoFour (2-4) month Probationary Freelance Agreement with the potential opportunity to convert to a Full-Time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Architect, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support a scalable SaaS like solution along with our many additional products and services.

2. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment of Python Django backend and React JS frontend codebases.

3. Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.

4. Collaborate with developers to integrate DevOps best practices into the Python Django backend and React JS frontend workflows.

5. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or GCP-native solutions.

6. Ensure security compliance and best practices (e.g., IAM, encryption, firewalls) across the SaaS platform.

7. Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes on GCP (e.g., Google Kubernetes Engine - GKE).

8. Automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency with scripting and tooling.

9. Supportthe go-live process, including load testing, disaster recovery planning, and post-launch monitoring.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Ideally 3+ years of DevOps experience, with a focus on cloud-based SaaS deployments. Experienced in working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including services like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, GKE and Cloud Build.

Well experienced in managing live production environment, ability to handle operational production systems without introducing errors or downtime.

Strong skills in managing GCP costs, including resource optimization, Kubeflow, and implementing cost-effective scaling strategies to balance expenses with performance and reliability needs.

Experienced in designing and operating distributed worker queue systems (e.g., Redis, Celery) to run compute-intensive workflows.

Ability to optimize job execution, scaling, and resource utilization for high-performance tasks. Working knowledge of Python Django, with experience supporting backend deployment and integration in a production environment.

Familiarity with React JS, including build processes (e.g., Webpack, npm) and frontend deployment workflows.

Proven experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI & GCP Cloud Build. Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.

Strong understanding of networking, security, and monitoring in a cloud environment. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation. Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer or Associate Cloud Engineer certification. Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver (GCP Monitoring).

Knowledge of database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL) in a Django/GCP environment. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Previous experience launching a SaaS product from development to production. Experience with modern workflow orchestration frameworks such as Kubeflow or Apache. Airflow, willingness to help drive migration from Celery-based workflows to these platforms.

TRACK RECORD: Candidates must have a proven track record.

REMUNERATION / SALARY: Competitive & Negotiable based on Experience

LOCATION: Our preference is that Candidate will be available in person in Hyderabad in January 2026 and are flexible on Remote locations or an interim setup in Kolkata, India.
