Position Overview
As a DevOps Engineer (AWS Focus), you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications while adhering to best practices for security and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage AWS-based infrastructure us- ing services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and VPC.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Automation: Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- Monitoring and Performance: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or similar tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Security: Enforce security best practices, including IAM role management, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to support application deployment and troubleshoot issues in production and non-production environments.
- Optimization: Optimize cloud costs and performance through resource tagging, reserved instances, and auto-scaling configurations.
- Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotations to respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role with a focus on AWS.
- AWS Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, Route 53).
- IaC Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Containerization: Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kuber-
- netes or AWS ECS/EKS.
- Monitoring: Experience with monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
- Version Control: Strong understanding of Git and version control workflows.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience with serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Confluence.
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR.
