About The Role
This role is responsible for the deployment, technical support, and continuous improvement of a cloud-based digital platform used to monitor and manage the performance of renewable energy assets.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that combines data analytics, software troubleshooting, cloud operations, and customer-facing technical support.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for a cloud-based software platform, including troubleshooting application, database, and integration issues.
- Investigate software issues through log analysis, debugging, data validation, and root cause analysis.
- Support software deployments, upgrades, releases, and maintenance activities across development, test, and production environments.
- Monitor application, database, and cloud infrastructure health to ensure system availability and reliability.
- Support cloud-based deployments on Microsoft Azure and AWS, including monitoring, security, and access management.
- Analyze operational and performance data from renewable energy assets such as solar PV, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and related infrastructure.
- Develop data processing workflows, ETL pipelines, and analytical models to improve asset performance and operational efficiency.
- Design and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana.
- Analyze database performance, integrity, and data quality using PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, and Elasticsearch.
- Troubleshoot networking and communication issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, SSL/TLS, WebSocket, MQTT, AMQP, and industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus TCP, and IEC 60870-5-104 (preferred).
- Collaborate closely with software developers, DevOps engineers, product managers, and renewable energy domain experts to validate fixes, improve platform capabilities, and deliver customer solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience supporting enterprise or cloud-based software platforms.
- Experience with renewable energy, industrial software, SCADA, or asset performance management platforms is an advantage.
- Knowledge of renewable energy KPIs such as Availability, Performance Ratio (PR), Capacity Factor, Curtailment, and Forecast Accuracy is an advantage.
- Familiarity with machine learning, forecasting, and anomaly detection techniques is an advantage.

- Programming & Analytics
- Strong Python & SQL programming skills.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript.
- Experience with Pandas, NumPy, and statistical analysis.
- Experience developing ETL workflows and data pipelines is an advantage, but not required.
- Databases: PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Elasticsearch
