What you'll do:

As a Development Quality Leader based in Ho Chi Minh City, you will immerse yourself in every stage of fabric innovation-from initial concept through industrialisation-ensuring that each product meets rigorous global standards. Your day-to-day will involve close collaboration with suppliers on both technical developments and process improvements, as well as active participation in negotiations to achieve optimal pricing. You will play a vital role in supporting suppliers adoption of advanced quality systems while championing responsible production practices that prioritise both people and the environment. By engaging with partners on sustainability initiatives and leveraging your expertise in continuous improvement methodologies, you will help shape the future of textile manufacturing in Vietnam.   • Oversee all new fabric developments by maintaining close communication with suppliers and monitoring performance metrics throughout each project lifecycle.
  • Manage new colour developments from concept through to delivery, ensuring supplier adherence to quality expectations and timelines.
  • Prepare for biannual catalogue updates by negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing across all product lines.
  • Monitor supplier quality performance using data-driven approaches, identifying trends and areas for improvement to maintain high standards.
  • Support suppliers in enhancing their internal quality systems through the implementation of robust quality control plans, audits, and laboratory assessments.
  • Guide suppliers in improving human responsibility within production processes as well as environmental management systems, fostering ethical and sustainable practices.
  • Engage regularly with partners and alliances to promote sustainable development initiatives across the supply chain.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align on product requirements, timelines, and strategic objectives for fabric innovation.
  • Champion continuous improvement methodologies within supplier operations to drive efficiency and elevate product quality.
  • Document all key activities and outcomes related to development, industrialisation, and quality assurance for reporting purposes.

What you bring:

To excel as a Development Quality Leader, you will bring an impressive track record from the fabric sector-ideally spanning yarns, wovens or knits-where you have honed your technical acumen alongside your interpersonal skills. Your background should include significant exposure to supplier engagement activities where you have demonstrated empathy, dependability, and an inclusive approach towards building long-term partnerships. Your ability to communicate effectively in both English and Vietnamese will be essential for navigating multicultural environments while your understanding of continuous improvement principles will allow you to drive positive change within supplier operations.
