Job Title: Design Validation Plan Execution Engineer (DVP Execution Engineer)
Department: Component Testing & Validation (CT&V)
Reports to: Director of CT&V
Role Summary: The DVP Execution Engineer leads the technical execution of component and system-level validation , ensuring that test outcomes accurately reflect engineering intent and vehicle performance requirements. This role demands deep hands-on expertise in validation planning, test setup, data interpretation, and root cause analysis. As a subject-matter expert, the DVP Execution Engineer interfaces closely with design teams to drive product robustness, regulatory compliance, and continuous design improvement.
Position Context: This role is foundational to the technical integrity of component validation . The DVP Execution Engineer transforms real-world test data into actionable engineering insights, ensuring components meet functional, durability, and regulatory expectations. Embedded deeply in the vehicle development lifecycle, this role ensures engineering accountability, design maturity , and compliance through every phase of validation.
Key Role Criteria
- Testing Execution & Coordination
- Architect and implement DVP&R plans aligned with program timing, technical requirements, and vehicle-level targets.
- Coordinate execution of validation tests with internal stakeholders and external laboratories, ensuring method compliance and technical readiness.
- Define and verify test part configuration, build level, and conformity to ensure meaningful validation outcomes.
- Support CT&V Lead Engineer in tracking part readiness, test scheduling, and lab slot availability; ensure that engineering prerequisites are met before testing begins.
- Lead or supervise instrumentation setup, fixture validation, test execution monitoring, and high-quality data capture.
- Technical Validation & Reporting
- Define experimental scope based on engineering drawings and DFMEA input.
- Continuously monitor validation metrics; apply root cause analysis and diagnostic tools.
- Author technically robust reports and deliver deviation justifications anchored in analytical rigor.
- Act as the validation liaison in design review settings, ensuring iterative feedback incorporation.
- Standards & Compliance
- Uphold and apply regulatory and OEM standards (e.g., ECE, FMVSS, GBT, QCVN) to all testing.
- Collaborate in homologation-related activities, offering technical substantiation for compliance.
- Drive enhancement of internal validation protocols and contribute to standards development.
- Process Improvement & Innovation
- Support deployment of simulation-integrated validation methods and CAE-test correlation.
- Identify and implement process refinements to elevate test efficiency and cost-performance ratios.
- Actively participate in the evolution of CT&V operating models and technical process improvements.
