About Connecty
Connecty is a Ho Chi Minh City project-management and owner's-representative firm delivering premium retail and hospitality fit-out for the world's most exacting luxury brands like Apple, Gucci or Chanel and several well-known commercial projects in HCMC like Akuna, Bam Bam, Bodega., across 100+ projects and a USD 20M+ portfolio. At this level, the details are the work — a 2mm reveal or a misaligned grain is the difference between a space that reads luxury and one that doesn't.
The role
You trained in interior design or architecture — but you'd rather make the detail real on site than draw the next one from a desk. As Design Site Executive, you're the bridge between the design package and the built space: you carry the design intent onto the floor, lead the contractor to build it exactly as designed, and solve the real-world buildability problems in between — without letting the design get watered down to whatever's easiest to build.
What you'll do
- Own the design detail on site — internalise the full package so you catch a deviation before it's built, not after.
- Walk the site daily; check the build against approved drawings and catch clashes (site conditions, MEP, structure, sequencing) early enough to solve on paper.
- Brief and lead the contractor's foremen and workers — make them understand why a detail matters, and hold them to it.
- Review shop drawings, samples and mock-ups against design intent; approve, redline or reject, and chase the corrections.
- When a detail genuinely can't be built as drawn, find the technical path that preserves the intent and bring the studio a solution, not just a problem.
- Run finish-quality control and lead snagging / punch-list to client sign-off.
What you'll own (how you're measured)
- The built result matches approved design intent — low deviation/defect rate at client walkthrough.
- Key finishes and mock-ups pass client and consultant review first time.
- Design-vs-site clashes resolved before they hit budget or schedule.
- Snag list closed to sign-off within the agreed window, every project.
What you bring
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or equivalent.
- 3–4 years experience with real time on site (fit-out preferred), not purely studio.
- Fluent reading and redlining of technical and shop drawings.
- Working knowledge of materials, finishes, joinery and basic MEP/structural coordination.
- The presence to direct a contractor's site team and hold the quality line.
- Working English (international brand clients and design consultants).
- Detail-obsessed, and genuinely prefer being on site.
Nice to have
- Luxury retail or hospitality fit-out experience.
- AutoCAD / SketchUp / Revit.
- A QS or buildability instinct.
- Experience working with international design consultants.
Compensation & benefits
- 18–23M VND gross/month, by experience and site track record.
- Full statutory insurance (BHXH/BHYT/BHTN) on 100% of real salary — no underreporting.
- 13th-month salary.
- 12 days annual leave + Vietnamese public holidays.
- Salary reviewed at 6 and 12 months.
