Role Description
- Under the guidance of the section manager, lead the mechanical engineering concept design and detailed project design.
- Follow the project schedule to complete mechanical design tasks on time and with high quality.
- Strictly apply the PDM tool; after project kick-off, actively participate in product-planning reviews, assist the PM, and consult the section manager to clarify and resolve project difficulties, critical points, and customer requirements. Define clear design targets, generate detailed drawings, and prepare/verify the BOM.
- Maintain close communication with electrical engineers to prevent frequent component-selection errors and BOM omissions.
- Track and close out mechanical-design-related anomalies; cooperate with QA and customer service to analyze and troubleshoot in-house and field mechanical issues and propose solutions.
- Comply with departmental ISO procedures and engineering design workflows; enforce standardized design practices.
- Complete other tasks assigned by the section manager in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Design & Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical-engineering experience, preferably in 3C (computer, communication, consumer electronics) project design.
- Strong mechanical-design capability; solid understanding of mechanical principles, transmission systems, and pneumatic systems; familiar with machining processes.
- Proficient in SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD; skilled in common office software.
- Responsible, dedicated, with good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
- Prior knowledge of manufacturing processes, electrical-control principles, sensor applications, and PCBA production processes is a plus.
