We are seeking an experienced Deputy Director of Operations to oversee and optimize our operations teams in the Southern region.
This role plays a key leadership position in managing core operational departments, ensuring service excellence, cost efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all operational departments in the Southern region (Ocean, Air, Trucking, Customs Clearance, Customer Service, etc.).
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies, procedures, and KPIs.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and high-quality service delivery to clients.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Finance, and Head Office to support business growth.
- Identify operational risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Coach, develop, and evaluate team leaders and key staff.
- Ensure compliance with internal regulations, legal requirements, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics, with at least 35 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding operations and local market practices.
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Previous experience working in companies with 300+ employees.
- Proven track record of managing teams of 100+ staff across multiple operational functions.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Experience managing multi-functional teams is a strong advantage.
