Position: Demand Planning Manager

Working location: Dist. 3, HCMC

Reporting line: Senior Supply & Demand Planning Manager

Stakeholder: Commercial, Marketing, TechOps, Quality, Finance, RA

Open for candidate who have at least 5 years experience as Team Lead at Pharma/consumer healthcare companies with good command of English

Job purpose:

The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for generating accurate demand and/or supply plans, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and ensuring product availability to support business and service level targets. The role focuses on translating sales forecasts into feasible supply plans, managing inventory health, and supporting continuous improvement within STADA PMP's planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

1/Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Consolidate sales forecasts from Sales, Marketing, and key account teams and challenge assumptions where necessary.
  • Analyze historical sales, market trends, seasonality, and promotions to support a robust demand plan.
  • Participate in demand review meetings (S&OP / IBP process) and provide insights on forecast risks and opportunities.
  • Track forecast accuracy and bias, and implement corrective actions in coordination with stakeholders.

2/Supply Planning & Inventory Management

  • Translate agreed demand forecasts into supply plans in alignment with capacity, lead times, and production constraints (local and/or external manufacturing).
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and global/regional supply chain teams to secure timely supply.
  • Monitor inventory levels (finished goods and key materials) and propose adjustments to safety stock and reorder parameters.
  • Identify and mitigate potential stock‑out and excess/slow‑moving inventory risks; propose action plans (expediting, reallocation, re‑phasing, substitution, etc.).

3/S&OP / Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Prepare planning inputs and reports for monthly S&OP meetings (forecast, demand vs. supply gaps, inventory status, service level).
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, and Logistics to ensure alignment on new launches, product changes, and promotions.
  • Support the Senior Supply & Demand Planning Manager in scenario planning and what‑if analysis for strategic decisions (e.g., tenders, new products, major promotions).

4/Master Data & System Management

  • Maintain accurate planning master data in ERP / planning systems (lead time, MOQ, lot size, safety stock, bills of material, etc.).
  • Ensure data integrity and timely updates for item creation, phase‑in/phase‑out, and lifecycle changes.
  • Support testing and implementation of new tools, system enhancements, and digital solutions in the planning area.

5/Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and report key planning KPIs such as service level (OTIF), forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, obsolescence, and backorders.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for service failures or planning issues and propose preventive actions.
  • Provide regular and ad‑hoc planning reports to management.

6/S&OP assistant

  • Being an operational coordinator of the S&OP process, supporting the Senior Supply & Demand Planning Manager and guiding the S&OP Assistant in day‑to‑day activities (data preparation, reporting, and cross‑functional coordination).

Key requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in demand/supply planning as team lead in pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare industry
  • Solid experience with S&OP processes and cross functional collaboration
  • Strong understanding of demand/supply planning concepts (MRP, safety stock, lead time, MOQ, capacity constraints, S&OP)
  • Strong communication; stakeholder management skills; able to challenge constructively and build alignment
  • Experience in SAP, ERP or Oracle
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI
  • Good command of English
  • Have experience in import products is a plus point
